We Came Back Different: New Mercy Moto Is the Official Cigar of FCMR26

Two years ago, New Mercy Moto Cigar Co. rolled into the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally in Durango, Colorado with something to prove. This year, we rolled out as the official cigar of FCMR26.

How a conversation became a commemorative cigar

It started as a follow-up conversation with Trevor Byrd after the 2025 rally. Trevor is the owner of Durango Harley-Davidson and the rally itself, and he's a cigar smoker too. We pitched him an idea: a cigar carrying the rally's official logo. He loved it, so we went for it.

In the rally's 33-year history, that had never been done. Trevor didn't have to take that chance on a brand that had only been coming for two years. He did, and we don't take it lightly.

The FCMR26 commemorative cigars

We created two blends for the rally, both built on a Nicaraguan binder and filler:

  • The Connecticut with a sweet tip: a smooth, approachable smoke.
  • The triple-wrapper barber pole: three wrappers twisted together: Maduro, Connecticut, and Candela.

Both cigars wear the official FCMR logo and came in a branded box with a branded cutter and a branded matchbook, so everything you needed for the first light was inside. Our rally gift box sold out, all 100 units.

The biggest turnout we've seen

The riders showed up. We brought double the cigars we had the year before, and every one that changed hands started a conversation. That's why we do this.

The relationships are the real story

Cigars are what we sell, but relationships are what we're building. We stood alongside the people who have believed in us from the start:

We also built new relationships with Mocha Cowboy, Espinoza's Leather, Iron Goddess, Mercy Moto, and more. A special thank you goes to Heather, who treated us incredibly well and made us feel welcome from the start. We won't forget it. Harley-Davidson CEO Artie Starrs even stopped by.

A meeting with Lance and Gaylon of 2 Lane Life

The highlight of the trip was putting cigars in the hands of Lance and Gaylon from 2 Lane Life. Something sparked in that meeting, and it's turning into a partnership that will be a large part of our business in the coming months. Stay close.

Why every rider and vendor should be at FCMR

If you ride, you belong at this rally. If you're a vendor in the motorcycle world, it's a must-attend. We've only been going for two years, and it has already given us relationships that will last a lifetime.

What's next

We'll be back next year, and our offerings will be elevated. We plan to grow right alongside the rally.
